24/7th heaven

when we’re broke and in dire need of entertainment, we fish out our pre-paid CineNow card and traipse along a few blocks away to pick a movie we missed in the big screens (coz we were too cheapo to pay $8 each to sit in an uncomfortable freezer of a cinema).

some days if we’re lucky, there will be a good selection of recent releases. we’d choose one in the wee hours of the night and return it the next morning.

dvds galore, twentyfour/seven.

adam rd and eves

*advert alert*

the towkay’s wife brought us to her husband’s nasi lemak stall.

where?

no no, not changi. selera rasa @ adam road…

so good that hana’s plate was polished clean within minutes.

(it helps that she only had a sandwich for lunch and this dinner was served at 10pm.)

in any case, it was worth the wait.

thanks for the treat, towkay!

*end of transmission*

the last laugh

awwww…. you mean, you bother to trawl (definition: to sift through large volumes of data looking for something of interest) this blogspot just to find out what we do, dahling?

subway or ourway

at cafe izadnhana, it’s value for money.

gardenia focaccia bread: $2

tomato: $0.12

kraft cheese slice: $0.30

lettuce: erm, a few cents for a few leaves

meat: free, courtesy of mum & dad (no we ain’t cannibals, that’s not *their* meat.)

slather some mayo, a dollop of ketchup, fry some frozen chips and pour some leftover nachos… tada!

all for a total of less than $4 for two persons’ meal.

how much did you pay for that subway sandwich again, sir?
