happiness is a warm breeze

orchard road was alright… but east coast is better!

oh, so many sights to see!

so many babies in strollers… so many dogs in shirts… so many half-naked boys and girls cavorting in makeshift tents! (maybe they gave their clothes to the dogs.)

let’s go again!

passengers

the little one and i had the car to ourselves for the day. he alternated between gurgling at me and staring out the window as the world passed him by.

i think we both like our time together in the car very much. (of course, he’s all fed and happy before i shtuck him into the carseat haha.)

we met with handsome abang andi and mum, and safely shuttled them back after a round at the mall. and now i know why i like abang andi so much – we share the same love for fries. :) and i also got a taste of what aniq will be like once he starts roaming around by himself and parroting everything we say. heh!

oops. abang andi doesn’t seem too happy with his mum carrying someone else.

ok, tomorrow it’s just you and me again, honey. let’s battle through that vicious orchard road traffic together.

be good!

smashing pumpkin patch

this entry is merely to inform miss E that her package has arrived safely and soundly (and that the australian postal service is efficient after all). :D

the cabbage patchkid isn’t able to wear his new garbs just yet. gotta grow a few cm more.

and now i know why there’s the saying “cute as a button”. coz them buttons are damn cute.

thanks E! balik sini nanti nak makan apa jangan malu, bilang tau.

manic monday

sunday night, and as we headed home from our sup kambing and tahui dinner, i felt a familiar dread.

i told him: it’s the monday blues.

sure, i don’t have to go to work for now, but strangely enough, the monday blues hit me nonetheless.

on weekends, the husband is around full-time, which means i get to sleep in a little longer while he bathes the little one, or do my own things while he brings the little one out for a walk, or simply watch from aside while he does a sing-and-dance in front of the baby with the pussycat dolls feat. will.i.am in the background.

but come sunday night, it means by the time we wake up, he’s gone to work, and it’s just me and the baby, facing each other, and wondering what to do to fill our time together. (i sometimes feel he gets bored of me!)

so i concluded that monday blues has nothing to do with work, per se.

i think it’s the idea of routine, and having the week start all over again.

onion & garlic

satu kulitnya putih, satu kulitnya merah.
satu matanya sepet, satu matanya besar.
satu rambutnya tipis, satu rambutnya lebat.

tetapi lihat muka mereka, sungguh fierce, mengalahkan gengster kampung dusun.

babes in arms

aniq met his friend naufal, who was wearing the cutest tee and sporting the cutest hairstyle nak kalahkan beckham.

what work can he do, we wonder. lol!

the mums had a lovely time over lunch (and then tea) while the two babes drifted in and out of sleep.

and in between, what better place for the mums and babies to bond than the shopping mall’s nursery room…

is it obvious which baby goes with who? :D

after the babies had THEIR yummy lunch and tea, they waved and shook hands with each other in camaraderie. the mums were VERY amused. we giggled in glee seeing them staring and babbling at each other.

abang naufal gave some brotherly advice to adik aniq. feel free to interpret their conversation!

ngaahahaa!

what’s lup got to do with it..

let’s guess which one is hana’s VERY VERY BELATED birthday present from her beloved ayang intan payung DH yang kucinta. *gag*

and this is where i insert the obligatory proclamation of “i lup u!!”. (even though you’re two months late, bub. *grumble grumble*)

so sad hor, give present only say i lup u.

in which case, i should also say “i lup me!!” coz one of the above was a present to myself. a well-deserved one ok.

coz now everything else we buy is for the little one, hardly anything is for us anymore. (did i mention how much i spent on his clothes the other day? gah!)

mummy needs new toys to play with too, you know.

fish & company

there’s something about them ‘talking’ to each other that tickles me each time. especially when they mirror each other’s expressions.

i think they’re talking about girls.
